At NW Sewer, we service the greater Seattle area. As sewer and drain professionals, it is essential for our team to service professionals in the best way possible which is why residential and commercial property owners need to choose a contractor they know can get the job done right and in the most effective way possible. When contractors do not do their jobs properly, it can result in excess damage and costly repairs.
Improperly Installed Pipe Liners
The picture below shoes where a contractor completely blocked off a neighbors sewer lins resulting in a sewer backup and left the homeowners with an extremely expensive bill. The blockage was due to the contractor poorly installations a Cured-in-Place Plastic Liner also known as a CIPP Liner. The liner installed the lined past a lateral connection in the sewer line which did not allow the neighbors sewerage to flow properly through the pipe, completely blocking it.
This situation should and could have been avoided by thoroughly inspecting the clients pipe system to check for any lateral connections before CIPP Lining was performed. While CIPP Lining is an extremely durable and reliable way to restore pipe function, the installation of CIPP liners is a risky business.
How N.W. Sewer & Drain Solved the Problem
We used sewer camera inspection, which is how we took the photo of the interior of the pipe, to inspect the current state of the pipe and determine the best course of action for repair. We weave the camera in the sewer line of the neighbors home that had a sewer back up. Once we identified the issue and the location of the problem, a rooter and hydro jetter were used to get the pipeline to drain properly. After the line was drained, we could see the CIPP liner that blocked the sewer line and took the necessary steps to solve the problem.
As a home or business owner, It is very important to do your research and hire a seasoned specialist with substantial experience installing CIPP liners. Our team strongly suggests checking a company’s reviews and reputation before hiring them. At N.W. Sewer & Drain, our team is made up of licensed professionals that never leave your property with problems that did not exist before we arrived. All of our services are affordable, environmentally-friendly, and leave you with long-lasting results.
